Shoprite in Claremont Main Road, which formed an integral passageway between the Claremont bus terminus and Main Road, closed down on 29 July 2017. The two clothing shops next door to Shoprite will close down at the end of this month.
Redefine Properties, the owners of the building,have plans to re-develop this site into student accommodation.
