CIDC Cleansing and Urban Manager, Eric Mtyali and his team recently did a survey of all streets in the Claremont CBD for potholes and any other road defects. Details of all road defects were sent to the City of Cape Town’s (CoCT) Roads Department for their intervention.
Owing to the excellent partnership between the CoCT’s Roads Department and the Claremont Improvement District Company, the CoCT sent out their maintenance team and are in the process of attending to these defects.
The CIDC is also pleased to report that the lighting to the Draper Subway has been restored after being defective for the past 11 months. The CIDC’s Abdul Kerbelker expressed his thanks to Patrick Lategaan of the City of Cape Town’s Electricity Department and his team for attending to the defective lights.
